Scott, a Senior Broker Associate at RE/MAX Southern Shores Commercial Real Estate, is originally from North Carolina where he also is a licensed Broker. Scott attended Goldsboro High School in Goldsboro, NC and completed high school in Virginia Beach, Va. He studied at Tidewater Community College while managing the family-owned restaurant, Carolina Barbecue in Portsmouth, Va.
After operating North Shore Surf Shops, Inc. in North Myrtle Beach and Ocean Isle, NC with his wife Ruth Anne and son, Ty Bellamy, Scott began his real estate career in 1995 and became a full-time REALTOR in 2000. Scott currently serves on the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce as The Chairman of the Board 2017-2018. Prior service for the Chamber included Chair of Economic Development 2016-2017. He is Past-President of both The Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS, 2012 and The Grand Strand Board of REALTORS, 2008. He has served as a South Carolina REALTORS State Director from 2005-2012, and has chaired numerous R.P.A.C. fundraising campaigns throughout his career. He is also a graduate of Leadership South Carolina REALTORS Class of 2008.
Scott holds designations as Certified Residential Specialist, C.R.S. Senior Real Estate Specialist, S.R.E.S. Certified Distressed Property Expert, C.D.P.E. and is an R.E.O. Specialist. Scott specializes in the sale and leasing of shopping centers, commercial land, retail, industrial, flex space and bank owned properties. Scott is a former Co-Owner of RE/MAX At The Coast with his partner and son Ty Bellamy.
